Duije Meijer

I am a project manager and developer, and a third-generation builder. I grew up around construction and have spent my working life managing complex building projects in the Netherlands — the kind where many parties, long timelines and real money have to be held together by one person who keeps the whole picture in view. Meijer Residential brings that same discipline to the care of private homes.

I am based in Leiden and working across The Hague & Leiden region. I know this region — its building stock, its municipalities, its weather and its international community. Many of the owners I work with are not here day to day: posted abroad, travelling, or living between countries. They need someone on the ground who is technically qualified, reachable, and personally accountable. That is the role I take.

I work the way I would want someone to work for me: one named person you can call, written reporting you can actually read, and no hidden interest. Meijer Residential never earns a commission on a sale or a kickback from a contractor. My only incentive is that your residence is well kept and your decisions are well informed.

I handle the intake and oversight; the execution is done by our team. This consists of several trusted partners I have worked with for years, supplemented by a network of qualified craftsmen I hire and manage per project. I select who enters your home, and I remain your sole contact and point of accountability throughout the assignment. You do not have to search for, vet, or coordinate contractors yourself — that is exactly what I take off your hands.

The Meijer family has built for three generations in the Netherlands. This practice carries that technical craft and respect for buildings into a different, quieter kind of service.
